What is an Adjektiv?

  • An Adjektiv describes a noun (a place, thing, name and so on).
  • The first letter of an adjective is always small.
  • Das Haus ist groß. Der Himmel ist blau. Das Auto ist schnell.

sehr and zu

  • sehr (very) makes an adjective stronger. It is used in a positive sense.
  • zu (too) is used in a negative sense: it is more than you want.
