This and these: dieser, diese, dieses. Use them to point out and emphasize.

What are they?

Demonstrative pronouns point to specific things or people, or emphasize them.
They are similar to the definite articles (der, die, das) and come before the noun or alone.
der, die, das: used in a more general way. dieser, diese, dieses: used to point out and emphasize.
