Every German noun has an article: der, die or das. Learn what they mean and when to use ein and eine.
What is an Artikel?
- An Artikel always comes before a noun.
- It gives information about the noun: gender, context and number.
- A noun can be masculine, feminine, neutral, or plural.
One Artikel for each gender

Unbestimmter Artikel: the noun is not known or is general

Plural: only “die”, and no indefinite article
- die Männer

Word combinations: use the article of the LAST word
